The more you progress through Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, the more important resources become. Ceramics, metals, and special alloys are all necessary in one way or another to build new roads, bridges, and monorails, so it is useful to get acquainted with how each facility works and how to get the most out of each of them.
First of all, no materials saved in the private locker of one facility allow you to access it from any other shelter. It is exclusive to that one location. So if you saved certain items or useful building materials, you will have to go back to that specific shelter. It is understandable to think that this private locker is shared with all shelters as they all have one, but they do not have this universal communication, making it more important than ever to know exactly how to manage your resources.
By completing orders from every type of shelter, you will increase the amount of materials available for you to claim and bring with you on your off-roader to build new connections in a dying world. For those who need building materials in a pinch, enemy camps are known to always have resources, so once you knock them out, be sure to clean the camp out. Another surefire way to find materials is with the mines, the first of which you will find north of West Fort Knot. Once you spend 2,000 chyral crystals, which can be farmed near the mine itself, the mine will give you thousands of special alloys to spend on any structure you need.
