Upcoming indie game Unbeatable received a new trailer during Opening Night Live, alongside a release date of November 6, 2025. The title is developed by D-Cell Games, which launched a Kickstarter for the title back in 2021, seeing Unbeatable reach its goal in only 15 hours.
Unbeatable is a stylized rhythm game that draws inspiration from Anime, in particular invoking some FLCL series vibes during the trailer. Players divide their time between being able to explore, in which protagonist Beat can wander the area they are in, play minigames, and craft new songs. There are then the action segments that play out as a rhythm game in which players need to use buttons to control the lower and upper portions of a track while either playing music or fighting enemies.
The game will feature a multitude of tracks that the player can perform, each with levels of difficulty to allow for replayability. These include beginner, normal, hard, and an unbeatable mode that multiple people who have gone hands-on with the demo state live up to the title. This should allow players to access the title regardless of their competency with rhythm titles and allow for unforced development of skills.
Unbeatable takes place in a fictional world where music has been outlawed, with a fascist agency known as Harmonious Audio Reduction Maintenance, or H.A.R.M., for short, enforcing the prohibition of music. The player takes on the role of Beat, who spends her time writing music and playing with her band, clearly at odds with the current regime, which will lead to several altercations with authorities. This will put her in direct conflict with her sister named Rest, who leads the organization of H.A.R.M.
