Onimusha was one of those weird games that was enjoyable yet not a game that spent a large amount of time in my PlayStation growing up. I beat the first game in the series before, for whatever reason, never playing its sequel, Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny, or I might have spent an hour on it at a friend’s house. There was even a strong possibility I might not have played the third game had Capcom not placed a massive amount of marketing that shoved the fact that Jean Reno was playing a supporting role. Honestly, it would be hard for…

Borderlands 4 from developer Gearbox Software will indeed cost $70 for the standard edition of the game. This was confirmed by Publisher 2K as pre-orders for the title go live across all platforms. The cost of this title isn’t off from what the new standard for triple-A games has been across this console generation, but is notable for making headlines following statements made by development chief Randy Pitchford made a statement about it. Pitchford had stated at the time, amid concerns that the game might have an $80 price, that “if you’re a real fan, you’ll find a way to…

I would say that Tormented Souls II protagonist Caroline Walker had horrible luck if she didn’t so conveniently bring it on herself. In the opening moments, we see her sporting a black eyepatch that, the last time we helped her survive the night, started with her getting a picture that proper her going to a terrifying place to investigate, and five minutes of set up lead to her getting chocked outr and waking up sans an eye. It’s good to know that in the time between then and now, her decision-making has not in any way, shape, or form improved,…

Mindseye, which was released on June 10th, has received the first in what will be a series of emergency hotfixes that are designed to fix the performance issues following the title’s extremely problematic launch. This follows Build A Rocket Boy, the studio behind the game, releasing a public statement saying they were “Heartbroken” by the fact that players were facing issues with the game. That statement, of course, was after a MindsEye preview in which all of these issues were brought up and co-CEO Mark Gerhard began suggesting a campaign by the industry to attack the game. These patches, the…

Publisher Focus Entertainment has announced that third-person shooter title Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has hit the major milestone of selling 7 million copies of their title in under a year. Developed by Saber Interactive, Space Marine 2 was released in September of 2024, which means that this huge accomplishment was reached in a little under nine months. During its initial month, the game sold 4.5 million units, accounting for slightly over half the total amount of sales. Space Marine 2 performed so…

Date Everything was one of those indie games that caught my attention from the get-go. With a premise so bizarre and absurd, I was absolutely sure this was going to go one of two ways. I would love everything about it, or I would not. Thankfully, I got my answer when I asked why in a game where I am encouraged to date everything, I couldn’t date the game itself, that’s how much it sucked me in. Hours later, the feeling had only grown. This could have been your standard Visual Novel, this could have been your standard dating sim,…
