The developer behind games such as Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Guardians of The Galaxy, Eidos-Montreal, has announced that they are laying off 75 employees. The Embracer Group-owned studio shared this news via Linkedin, where it was explained that these layoffs were made as one of the company’s “Mandates” comes to an end. Publisher Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have announced that following the very successful launch of Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 last year, they have joined forces yet again for an official sequel, which is in development now. Mountaintop Studios has announced they are shutting down the studio just 6 months after launching their debut title Spectre Divide was released. The studio has explained that the tactical shooter, which was released as a free-to-play title, has not delivered the success that would be required to have it become sustainable. As a result of this, the game will be getting shut down and Mountaintop Studios will be closing its doors.
