Moving through the opening stage of Herdling, The City, there are traffic cones set up in multiple locations that earn players the Careful Pedestrians Trophy/Achievement. These tie in, in part, to the guided instructions that the player is given for instructing their herd, but they can still be slightly challenging to avoid if you are not careful, so the recommendation is to take this slow and steady.
After getting the first member of your Herd, head towards the next area, where we used in our Road Rage guide. The recommendation here would be to do these two trophies independently. If you are careful enough, you can do them all at once, but it is easy to break them up. Entering this area, there will be some cones on the left next to a container that is easy to avoid by just not getting close. After this are two sets of cones to avoid, one easy, the other hard.
First, the reason I say to earn these trophies separately is that there are a few cones in the center of the parking lot that can just be avoided by turning left to go through the parking lot. It can be slightly harder to avoid, though, with enough control, you probably can. Up to this point, you can only guide your herd forward, only getting the ability to stop them near the other side of the parking lot, where a curved set of cones is. To pass these cones, head to the left and stop your creature lined up with the last gap between two cones, because it is the biggest. Take your time to line up your indicator with the gap, then send your creature through the gap. Even though the only one you have right now, it is pretty big, but you should be able to tell if it will make it through.
The next area has no cones to avoid, but it does see two smaller creatures join your Herd so that you can move a container and exit towards the road leading out of town. The most complicated of the trials and also the last is along this road. It is a thin path that curves slightly, with cones lining both sides. It will shortly follow learning how to guide the Herd continuously. The correlation between this path and the new ability is obvious, but I still wouldn’t use that. You have three of the Herdlings to guide through this path. Guide them forward, quickly stop them near the curve in the path, then line yourself and guide them again. Straight, deliberate, and short lines along this road seem to be the best way to handle this. Make sure to knock over these cones yourself while you set up these paths as well.
A quick note, I am unsure if you can reset your progress on this by hitting load as soon as you knock one over, since I was able to do so in one run. Once through this longer winding route, it is a straight shot to the end of the road, which will lead out of the city and into the city. The trophy/achievement should pop as you cross this threshold.
