The open-world dress-up game Infinity Nikki, from former Legend of Zelda director Kentaro Tominaga, has crossed the 10 million download threshold since releasing on December 5th of this year. Additionally, the developer behind the game, Infold Games, is celebrating the achievement with in-game rewards.
The studio revealed this milestone via a post on X (formerly Twitter), which revealed that it was achieved within just 4 days of release. Players will now have access to 10 free draws in the game’s clothing-based gotcha mechanic as thanks for their support of the title. Players can access this reward by opening their in-game mailbox before January 1st, where they will get 10 Resonite Crystals which can be used to unlock the same number of draws. The mailbox is accessible once the Florawish stylist’s guild has been joined and the Pear-Pal has been acquired.
Infinity Nikki is a Chinese-developed game that acts as a sequel and reimagining of the Nikki series of mobile games that was first released internationally in 2013. In particular, it specifically serves as a follow-up to the 2021 title, Shining Nikki. In contrast to these games, Infinite Nikki features a sprawling open world to explore, following more recent trends such as the Hoyo-verse series of games.
So far the game has seen a relatively smooth launch with very little in the way of technical hiccups or server issues. While I have not gotten to a point I feel confident in reviewing it, I can say I have only encountered one or two glitches at the worst. The company did experience as hacking early on after launch that prevented new downloads, but this isn’t really their fault.
The developers of the game have described it as:
A grand adventure in the glamourous dress-up adventure game series. For the first time ever, Miraland is now an explorable open world. Nikki and Momo will set off on another marvelous journey, exploring the world, discovering amazing landscapes, and collecting outfits.
Infinity Nikkie is currently available on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Mobile.
