From the developers of RUINSMAGUS, CharacterBank inc, comes a new, full-fledged fantasy adventure designed from the ground up for the immersive power of VR, Knights of Fiona. While RUINSMAGUS explored what was possible with mission-based expeditions and a quaint town to explore, Knights of Fiona looks to expand everything created for that game, now set in the vibrant world of Gallia. As the director explained, “We heard from players that they wanted more variety of weapons, more variety of levels, more NPCs and more boss battles. We are taking everything players love and pouring all of our creative energy into it. We look forward to meeting the player’s expectations.”

Boasting bow and arrow, magic attacks and melee weapons like longswords, there will be no shortage of weaponry available to engage the multiple fantasy-inspired enemies. From fierce dragons to novel anime-looking critters and mechanical-based creatures, each level features a varied set of enemies to battle. With the choice to also play in co-op with up to two friends, the possibilities for collaboration and different builds opens up considerably. Sharing the thrill of the epic boss battles together, the bar is high for what the game is aiming for.

Of course, the character-driven narrative is sure to interest single-player enthusiasts. With a singular JRPG aesthetic and sensibilities, Knights of Fiona amps up the limits of VR thanks to its deep roster of unique NPCs. “There is a strong desire for players to experience wholly unique worlds in VR,” said Shuto Mikami, the CEO of CharacterBank Inc. With the initial release of RUINSMAGUS in 2022, the long wait for an expansive full-scale Japanese Role-Playing Game will soon be over.

Knights of Fiona is an original indie experience that will be released in 2026. It can be wishlisted now on Meta Quest and Steam VR. You can also join their official Discord to stay on top of their latest news.
