Light spoilers for Lies of P Below
While not advertising them or having a functioning tracking system for all the side opportunities Pinocchio can come across, there are a few optional tasks that can be taken along the way. One such moment comes during the second chapter of Lies of P when a silhouette asks you for help, reaffirming that these are dark times you are living through.
Chapter 2 begins when you exit Hotel Krat, heading towards Elysion Boulevard, where you will encounter a Stargazer on the street right at the entrance. You will need to make your way through this area until you find a ladder that leads to a lengthy and, honestly, frustrating section along the rooftops that can be a little hard for newcomers. Eventually, you reach a hulking monstrosity of an enemy that waits near a hole that leads into a house.
Inside this area is the next Stargazer of the area, with only another set of rooftops to traverse. You will go inside another house, and on the opposite side is a ladder heading down into a courtyard. Here, you fight a large bobby-style police robot, though you can avoid this for now if you want to, as nothing locks you to fighting it, though it rewards you with a weapon should you beat it, plus it despawns permanently once you defeat it. From the entrance to this area, atop the ladder, if you look to your right, you will see a shadowy figure of a woman with a ladder leading up to her from a window in the courtyard. Go to the window and talk to her.
She will tell you that her baby was taken and ask you to recover her child for her, and when presented with the option, you should say you will do it. She will tell that her baby was taken to Krat City Hall, which just so happens to be where we are headed anyway. There is a bit of distance between us and the city hall; however, with another area to traverse and fight our way through, which has access to the elevator you might have seen near the second stargazer, so you can easily backtrack. You will also need to progress across a bridge where the Mad Donkey has cornered Guippeto, and you will need to defeat him, too.
Once you have made it across the bridge and gotten the Hrat City Hall key, you can enter the next area. Traverse past the first area with a few wandering enemies with swords, and you will make it to the door to the city hall building. This area has two trees planted, one left and right, with a wide area to walk through. On the right side, you will encounter one of the big enemies, like you encountered near the second Stargazer, this one smashing the ground absent-mindedly. You will need to fight and defeat this robot because, right behind the tree near the right corner of that area, is a pickup that will yield Pinocchi a Broken baby Puppet. That’s right, the baby wasn’t human at all. Note: If the pickup is not there, which can happen, hit the nearest stargazer and reload the area; this should fix it.
Now that you have the doll, return back to the woman in the window and give her the baby. As you might have already gathered, this was not a misrepresentation of what this woman wanted; she really thinks of this puppet as her baby. She will then ask the player what they think of their baby, and you are given a choice. To complete this quest with the best outcome, choose to lie by saying she’s a cute baby. This will net the player the Feel vinyl record for use back at Hotel Krat, and it goes towards finding all the vinyl records in the game.
