Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC Gets Trailer And Release Date

Nintendo has released a new trailer for the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC, which contains new details for what players can expect next from the most recent title in the long-running franchise, such as new variants of familiar Pokémon like Raichu, the evolution of series mascot Pikachu. More importantly, however, this latest trailer lets players know exactly when they will be able to play the DLC: December 10.

While the Mega Dimension DLC keeps the game contained in the city of Lumiose, players will enter a hyperspace version of the city through rifts that have appeared. The trailer states that “At a glance, Hyperspace Lumiose may resemble the real Lumiose, but it’s a very different place.” One of the elements that makes this place different is that Pokémon can temporarily be boosted beyond the level cap of 100.

The DLC will feature a new character, a mysterious girl named Ansha, who is a donut chef, who can feed your Pokémon sweets that allow them to level beyond the usual caps, though this ability only allows this within the confines of hyperspace. She is joined by Hoopa, a Pokémon that will play a central figure in the DLC, as it is through their ability that you can traverse the rifts into Hyperspace Lumiose. Pokémon X and Y gym leader Korrina will also appear as a new ally for the player.

The DLC will also include several new Mega Evolutions for the player to get, such as Mega Chimecho. Another Mega Evolution, Mega Baxcaliber, will be added as well, though the Mega Stone to acquire it will be distributed via season 4 of the online ranked battles, with Pokémon Legends Z-A currently being in season 2 of these battles. A New side mission is available now for the title, which will allow players to receive a Mega Stone for the fairy and rock-type Pokémon Diancie.

The Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC was announced in September and costs $29.99. As an Early Purchase bonus of the DLC, players will receive the luxurious Poké Ball set, which includes Fast Ball x3, Lure Ball x3, Level Ball x3, and Heavy Ball x3.
