Alien: Rogue Incursion Part One, a single-player experience set in the universe of the Alien franchise, is getting an enhanced version for PlayStation 5 and PC that will not require a VR headset to enjoy. Previously, the game had been released on PlayStation VR 2 and PC VR in December of last year, with a Meta Quest 3 version following in February of 2025.

The enhanced edition will release on September 30th, 2025, and is set to feature “even deadlier Xenomorphs and enhanced visuals.” It is currently available to wishlist across both platforms. This version of the game will not feature the VR component of the original release at all and is strictly for players looking to experience the game without it. Despite not needing VR, there is no word yet on an Xbox version of the game.

Alien: Rogue Incursion Part One was developed and published by Survios, who are best known for other tie-in VR games such as Creed: Rise To Glory and The Walking Dead: Onslaught. Alien was released to some mixed, but overall positive reviews. There clearly must be some confidence in the title to perform well outside of the element of VR, given this move.

There will be two versions of the title released, a standard version that will retail for $29.99, as well as a Digital Deluxe edition that will retail for $39.99. The latter version includes some cosmetic items, as well as a digital artbook.

Alien: Rogue Incursion is set between the events of Alien and Aliens and sees the player sent on “a mission to the planet Purdan (LV-354) in search of a former squadmate. After a sudden attack, Zula and her Synthetic companion, Davis 01 find themselves in Gemini Exoplanet Solutions’ hauntingly desolate Castor’s Cradle research facility.”
