So, you have arrived at the Avian Marsh. Congratulations. Defeating the Genichiro-inspired boss Commander – Honglan is no small feat. But now you have arrived at the godlike winged boss Bo Sorcered. This feathered, half-naked challenge prides itself in moving extremely quickly, using a mix of swift, close-quarters attacks with her glowing, yellow sword and magical ranged attacks that do equally devastating damage. But there is a method to the madness.
By now, you should know that Wuchang: Fallen Feathers rewards careful reaction from your part to avoid damage and earn Skyborn Might in the process. Skyborn Might, or the equivalent of magic power in the game, lets you move much quicker when doing one of your devastating special moves, known as Disciplines from your weapon. So, other than mastering your perfect dodge, it is all about learning her moveset.
Just like Feathered Priest – Lu Bingzhang before her, Bo Sorcerer starts the fight, lunging into the air before striking rapidly towards you. It is imperative to learn the timing of this first attack, as it is one of the most damaging, but it also opens up a small window to get in a couple of attacks before she continues to do her other flashy, magical moves. Other than her four-combo sword swing and two magical bubble attacks that leave little to no room to retaliate, you should try to get in a powerful skill move because she can lose her balance and fall, opening up a chance to cause some real damage. In the second phase, where her magical slashes and combos reach even more intense heights, it is important to focus on those brief spaces to try to make her kiss the ground.
If nothing else helps, there is a way to summon a companion with the Bone Whistle. Although not all boss fights offer help, in this instance, if you have talked with and answered his questions correctly previously (which boils down to saying yes to his request), the White Robed Elder will appear to aid you. From my personal experience, it is recommended to summon him after reaching the halfway point of the fight, because the Bo Sorcerer will conjure whirlpools that will effectively kill the Elder and leave you on your own. As the second phase is much more aggressive, it is easier to chip away at her life with the elder aggroing her while you attack from a safe angle. As always, do not get too greedy because the Bo Sorcerer can always target you again at any moment. Good luck.
Hope this brief guide helps you defeat one of the most demanding bosses in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, the Bo Sorcerer. You can also check out this guide to help you increase your manna vase.
