Dispatch, the narrative Superhero Comedy from developer AdHoc Studio, has been listed for pre-order across the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. There has been no official word from Adhoc about this as of yet, but the listing has appeared in Australia with a release date of January 29, 2026. Weirdly enough, this is the second time something similar has happened this year, with the Silent Hill 2 Remake for the Xbox Series also gaining attention through an Australian listing on the platform.
For players who own a Nintendo Switch 2, a free upgrade for the game will be available to download separately from the game itself, which provides an enhanced version of the game. This will include enhanced resolution and an improved framerate. The game was initially released for the PlayStation 5 and PC, so this is the first platform to receive the title post-release, with no word of weither the game will be released on Xbox in the same timeframe or at some point else.
Initially released in October, the game performed extremely well, managing to sell 2 million copies of the game in its first month, prior to the full episode count seeing release as the game saw weekly releases of two episodes. This was a massive achievement for the new studio, made up in part of former Telltale developers, since this achievement was something they expected to reach within 2 years of sales.
Dispatch was additionally developed in conjunction with the popular online web series Critical Role and featured several prominent voice talents like Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey, Jeffrey Wright, and Matthew Mercer. Previously, Critical Role had also been involved in Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical, as well as Date Everything!, both of which also featured heavy emphasis on narrative, as well as Laura Bailey.
