Nintendo Partner Showcase Announced for This Week

Nintendo has announced they will be holding a Partner Direct for later this week, focusing on titles coming to both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 from third-party developers. The event itself is scheduled to be held on Thursday, February 5, at 6 AM Pacific and 9 AM Eastern time, lasting around 30 minutes total.

A new #NintendoDirect Partner Showcase livestream is on the way! Tune in tomorrow, Feb 5, at 6am PT for roughly 30 minutes of upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games.

Focusing on developers outside of Nintendo, it is unlikely that a new game in any of their franchises will pop up here. Another that has been confirmed will not make an appearance is Borderlands 4, which was originally planned for release in October of last year, but is now on indefinite pause. Take-Two, the publisher behind the game, has stated that this decision was necessary to focus resources on the other platforms where the title was released.

Of all the titles most likely to be seen during the rated 18+ event, Resident Evil Requiem is probably high on the list. The next entry in Capcom’s long-running survival horror franchise is set to release on February 27, with Nintendo giving the title ample marketing before that. Requiem is also set to receive the first branded version of the Nintendo Switch Pro controller, with Amiibo figures expected to be released later this year as well.

One of the bigger titles that we know about for the platform is FromSoftware’s The Duskbloods, which could see a trailer during this event. Announced back in April of 2025, the title is a multiplayer-focused Switch 2 exclusive with Miyazaki at the helm. With the title having a 2026 release window attached to it, this would be a good time for it to resurface. Even if not, FromSoftware also has a port of their Game of the Year-winning Elden Ring that has been demoed but is still without a release date.

There are a few other games that could show up here, such as the recently delayed 007: First Light or Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake from Koei Tecmo next month. There are also some eyes on Xbox, which has pushed heavily into multiplatform releases with PlayStation 5 console releases, but only a few releases on the Nintendo Switch. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is slated for release on the more powerful handheld this year, so this could be when we get additional information on that. There are also numerous upcoming Xbox titles, like Fable or Forza Horizon 6, that we could get an announcement for as well.

Either way, we only have a short amount of time to get a glimpse of what third-party support will look like on the platform.
