Only a week after Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was released to mixed reviews following its lengthy and troubled development, it appears the bloodsucking franchise is about to take yet another hit. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt developer Sharkmob has announced that the spin-off of the franchise, which launched on PC in 2021, will shut down its servers in 2026, marking its final death. For fans of the game, including myself, this should not come as a surprise. The game suffered low player counts since its initial launch, leading to the end of active development on the title in…
As you explore the city of Seattle in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, your character is required to operate under the titular masquerade. This is a guideline laid out by Camilla, which is kinda a vampire government that usually, though not always, sits in power in most cities. These rules are placed to protect the exposure of the hidden vampire society from mortals. In Bloodlines 2, this serves more like a wanted system with several tiers of exposure based on your actions, and the game gives leeway to breaking the code, which, by the end, you will probably do…
In the coming weeks and months, I expect we will begin getting a clearer picture as to what actually went wrong with Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. The Chinese Room, the developer that eventually shepherded the product to fruition, isn’t fully to blame in this. Hell, they might not be at all to blame, as we have no idea the state of the project from when they took over. The only thing we can really say at this point is that the timeline that was laid out in 2019 never made any sense, so who is to say what…
Ghost of Yotei has managed to perform about as well as its Predecessor, Ghost of Tsushima, in terms of U.S. sales, analyst Mat Piscatella has revealed. Sony has yet to reveal concrete numbers on the global sales figures for Ghost of Yotei, which launched as a PlayStation 5 exclusive on October 2, 2025, which means the only insight we currently have is regional data from sales analysts who are unable to confirm any hard figures. Piscatellla, who works for Circana, took to social media to talk about the commercial performance of the latest title from developer Suckler Punch, claiming it…
Vilde, as an absolute base explanation, is completely all over the place. Honestly, it’s one of its more charming qualities. It is a manic pixie dream girl in video game form, if you are into that sort of thing. Starting, you think you are going to have a clear idea of what to expect. Gun in hand and waves of enemies that need to be mowed down by any means necessary, simple enough. Bullet Hell would be the term that comes to mind right away, and there are so many elements that are straight bullet hell, frantic. This is right…
The Arc Raiders Design Director has described the timing of Bungie’s Playtest for Marathon as being fortuitously timed, launching alongside their own playtest earlier this year. With both titles being extraction shooters, Embark Studios’ Virgil Watkins stated this overlap was “a great A/B test for us,” calling it useful to compare not just the feedback from their own title, but the feedback from Bungie’s as well. Since both games featured unique elements and features, he stated it was helpful to “compare and contrast how some of those things shook out.” In a conversation with PC Gamer, Watkins stated: It was…
Returning for a second to 2016, when Pokémon Go Released, I remember this prevalent attitude for the game that reshaped my thought process on the entire Pokémon franchise. Basically, before the game released in America, it released in other regions. This made sense for a game expected to be big, but was untested as to how big it would actually be. What wasn’t expected was the game was very quickly ripped and so Americans could download a foreign European version almost the same day as release over there. Again, the rollout was meant to be segmented so servers could be…
Video Game Designer and founder of the Koei Techmo-owned studio Team Ninja, Tomonobu Itagaki, has passed away at the age of 58. This news was shared via his Facebook page, in a post entitled Words to Leave, according to the English translation of the page done by its internal translator. The note itself reads: The light of my life is about to run out. The fact that this sentence has been posted means it’s finally time. I’m no longer in this world. (This last post is for someone special to me. ) My life has been a series of battles.…

Ghost of Yōtei was released recently to a very positive reception and strong sales from developer Sucker Punch. While the Sony-owned studio is still focused on the title, and with no official plans set for the future of the company on future projects, in a recent interview, it was confirmed that if nothing else, the studio plans to continue being a focused single-game studio. In an interview with VGC, Sucker Punch co-founder and studio head Brian Fleming stated that the company will begin the process of deciding their next project sometime in 2026, after the Legends Multiplayer is finished and…
