Originally available on PlayStation VR2 since 2024, the hit boxing rhythm VR game Beat the Beats is coming to more platforms very soon.
Just announced at the VR Games Showcase, Beat the Beats, a boxing rhythm VR game, is coming to most major virtual reality headsets soon. Out April 2nd for Meta Quest, SteamVR, and Pico 4, it was first released on PlayStation VR2 in 2024, delivering a healthy workout for fitness enthusiasts. A free content update for PlayStation players with 15 new tracks and two new gameplay modes is available now, so no matter the headset, all VR players feel the love.
Inspired by actual boxing moves like crosses, jabs, rolls, and uppercuts, Beat the Beats has players punching to the rhythm of its thumping soundtrack. A fun way to introduce new ways to break a sweat, the daily stats and leaderboards ensure the gamification elements are intact to make boxers go further each time. Featuring 45 tracks with optional challenging B-sides, there is much content to play through before reaching any sort of credits. More than 90 levels from different electronic genres await those who want to test their strength and agility.

Elsewhere in the highly anticipated VR Games Showcase, welcome surprise VR announcements were made: the shadowdrop Dawn of History DLC of acclaimed dark fantasy RPG Legendary Tales, Crepe Master, a colorful single-player adventure, and Payday: Aces High, a VR multiplayer spin on the famous franchise, were among the immersive worlds virtual reality fans can look forward to playing. While the gaming industry at large may seem to be struggling to adapt to changing consumer interests, it is great to see the constant output of great VR games for 2026 and beyond.
