Sony has announced through a PlayStation Blog post that both Dave The Diver and Tale of Kenzera: Zau will be coming to the PlayStation Plus catalog in April. Both titles will be day-one releases to the catalog when they do release, with Dave finally diving onto the PlayStation after having previously released on PC and switch in 2023.
Dave The Diver is described on the blog as being:
a unique hybrid ocean adventure that combines ocean exploration with sushi restaurant management. At the heart of the game lies the core gameplay loop, narrative, characters, and captivating mini-games.āÆ
While I never had an opportunity to review the game when it was released on Switch last year, it is one I could not recommend enough. Starting simple enough only helps to betray how deep and addictive it is, once it gets its hooks into you.
Let us also not forget, that Dave The Diver will also be receiving a Godzilla-themed DLC in May should you find yourself in the deep end with no interest in getting out. It will be released on both PlayStation 5 and on the PC Plus Catalog on April 16th.
Tale of Kenzera: Zau on the other hand will be released for the first time across all platforms on April 23, and is the debut game from Surgent Studio. It is a Metroidvania about grief that steeps itself heavily in African culture and folklore. The studio was founded by Abubakar Salim, perhaps best known as the voice of Assassin Creed Origins‘ Bayek, who also provides the voice for Zau here.
For members of the base PlayStation Plus subscription, Immortals of Aveum will be available to download for April. If you missed it before, this is a great time to play it, trust me, I expected to hate it only to find that it was very enjoyable.
