Several games will be leaving Xbox Game Pass in April, among them being the ever-popular Grand Theft Auto V. According to the Xbox PC app, both the Enhanced and Legacy editions of the game are set to depart the service soon, around a year after they rejoined the service on April 15, 2025. These versions are specifically on the PC, with the console version simply being GTA V, and offer a choice between higher framerate/fidelity in enhanced or legacy, if you were heavily invested in modding or had a low-end PC.
Despite Grand Theft Auto being a pretty big title to leave, a few other games are set to depart as well, with the full list here:
Leaving Xbox Games Pass April 2026:
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes
- Terra Invicta
- My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery
- Ashen
Terra Invicta is currently only available on PC in early access, receiving generally positive previews. The title is a large-scale strategy sci-fi game in which players take control of one of several Earth factions shortly after an alien spacecraft crashes on Earth. Each faction has unique ways of winning, making for a dynamic and challenging experience.
My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery was released in 2024 and features Generation 5 of the My Little Pony Universe (This means you play as characters like Sunny and Hitch rather than Twilight Sparkle or Rainbow Dash). The title is open world, allowing players to explore the settings of Generation 5, and features a child-friendly mystery with puzzles to solve.
Ashen is a 2018 title with an action role-playing game that draws in some ways from the Dark Souls series. This includes a heavily integrated stamina system that influences combat, as well as “risk-based currency” that causes you to need to recover materials upon your death. The team behind this most recently went on to release Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, which was released in 2024 and published by the same publisher as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Kelpher Interactive.
The final game on the list of titles leaving is Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes. The game is a spiritual successor to the classic Suikoden series of JRPGs, with development led by Yoshitaka Murayama, the creator of Suikoden. As the title implies, players can recruit up to one hundred heroes to join their party, with the game receiving generally favorable reviews upon launch in 2024.
If any of these titles interest you, and you have Xbox Game Pass, it would behoove you to jump on there and give them a try before they are gone. Currently, Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to release on November 19, 2026, for consoles, with a PC release most likely to follow a year after, if Rockstar’s previous release schedules are anything to go by.
