Little Kitty, Big City, the debut title from developer Double Dagger Studio, has received a release date for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. It will be available on May 9th, exactly one year since it was released for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox Consoles, and PC. It was additionally available as a day-one game with Xbox Game Pass.
In the game, players take the role of the titular kitty in the titular Japanese-inspired city after the kitty falls from the balcony of his apartment home and needs to find his way home. To do so, the lazy kitty will need to come to grips with its feline nature, climbing obstacles, scratching objects, and my favorite, stealing cell phones in order to find its way back to its house.
Little Kitty, Big City had drawn some comparisons to Annapurna Interactive’s published cat game Stray, and the two do have some similarities. At their core, the explore a cat that players are encouraged to play, you know, like a cat. This being said, there are many differences between the two, with Little Kitty having a cartoonish art style and dialogue between the protagonist and the animals they come across. This is before factoring in the beautiful city that becomes just as much a character, right down to the manhole covers that all have artistic designs.
If you’re a player looking to take a break from it all and just be a curious cat out of his element, Little Kitty, Big City is the game for you. It is available for wishlist on the PlayStation console.
