Lost in Random: Eternal Die, the sequel to the 2021 indie game from Zoink, has received a release date. It was announced that the title will be released on June 17th for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It will also be released as a day one game with Xbox Game Pass, similar to the first title.
While the original title was an action man action adventure game featuring a dice roll mechanic during combat, this follow-up will instead be Roguelite, focusing on fast-paced combat across each field from an isometric viewpoint. It will also be developed by Storyteller Games and published by Thunderful Group, with the first title being released shortly before Zoink was merged with Image & Form to create Thunderful Development.
Preorders are also now available for the digital edition and the premium edition, which are currently discounted at $22.49 / €22.49 / £17.99 for digital and $24.64 / €24.64 / £23.99 for premium, respectively. For the Nintendo Switch, only the Premium Edition is available to preorder at this time.
The premium edition of the game will include early access to the game that begins on June 13th, rather than June 17th. It will also include a digital art book, exclusive soundtrack, and cosmetic downloadable content. The premium content will be available individually as well to download, should you be playing the game through platforms like Game Pass, or if you find you want that content later.
An official overview of the game, as released by Thunderful Games, States:
In Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, Aleksandra, formerly known as The Queen, and her companion, Fortune, have been captured inside the Black Die by Mare the Knight, who is plotting their final chapter. Players will fight their way through a randomly generated gauntlet where they’ll take on monstrous pawns and giant board games, to claim treasure which improves their chances of defeating Aleksandra’s tormentor. They must use their wits and trusty die companion to escape this living labyrinth, where evil reigns and Random Rules.
Thunderful Group has been involved with the release of a multitude of Indie games that have been released recently, including Roguelike title Reign Breaker, which was released earlier this year.
