The next mainline entry in Capcom‘s popular Monster Hunter franchise, Monster Hunter Wilds, will receive another open beta before its release date, which grows ever closer.
Players who took part in the previous Beta will find that the hunts previously featured will be returning this time around. In addition to those a hunter of returning monster Gypceros will also be available to hunt this time around. Among other things, you will be able to use the Character Realtor, play the story trail, as well as complete the Slay Doshaguma quest. Capcom has also said that characters created during the first beta can be transferred into this beta, which can then be transferred into the full game upon release.
Game progress on the other hand cannot be transferred between betas or the main title. Those who take part in the test will get special bonus content that can be redeemed in the full game. These will include a decorative charm for your weapon or Seikret, as well as an item pack.
While the first beta has already helped Capcom begin to improve Monster Hunter Wilds, improvements that have been announced are slated to be released alongside the full release and will not be present in this Beta. Those updates include improvements to performance, balance changes, and weapon mechanic improvements, among several other known issues.
The second open beta for Monster Hunter Wilds will go live on February 6th and will run until February 9th. If for whatever reason you cannot take part in this beta, a follow-up beta has been announced for February 13 through to February 16. Monster Hunter Wilds will release on February 28th, so there isn’t long to wait after these betas.
