Midori, a prominent Persona Leaker best known for their information that Persona 3 Reload would receive an FES-Style DLC now officially known as The Answer, has additional details on Persona. This time the leak concerns the next mainline game in the series which fans of the long-running franchise have long awaited.
Fans of the series are undoubtedly aware that Persona has largely themed each entry around color. This started with the third game in the series which featured Blue, with 4 then featuring yellow, and 5 featuring red. The three games prior to that did not have this scheme (the original Revelations: Persona and a pair of Persona 2 games) but were given Purple and Orange respectively. According to this next leak, Persona 6 will feature the use of the color green.
This seemingly confirms fan speculation surrounding the color, stemming from a 2022 piece of artwork celebrating the franchise’s 25th anniversary. The art (featured above) showcases the main characters of all the Persona games in front of some graffiti art. Each character is covered in their respective game paint color, but steaks of green seem to be included. Additionally, a bucket full of green paint can also be seen next to them. It is extremely common for Atlus to announce the color of a Persona title before the title itself, with Persona 5 receiving a teaser trailer based around its color years before anything else was shown.
Despite receiving multiple spin-offs for the series, such as Persona 5 Tactica last year, Persona 6 has remained quiet. While we received confirmation that it is in development, there has not been any form of official confirmation, not even for the 25th-anniversary celebration. Midori had additionally claimed as part of this that the game entered development shortly after Persona 5 had released in 2019. The previous entry itself had a 5-year development cycle, this could place the release of the next numbered title sooner rather than later. However, with Metaphor: ReFantazio also in development at Atlus with a 2024 release window, and additionally Persona 3 Reload having recently been released by Atlus, it is unclear what the team structures look like as of now.
