Nintendo has announced an update to its plans for releasing the Nintendo Switch 2 in the United States. Originally, the new console was slated to be up for pre-order on April 9th, however, this was changed following President Trump’s implementation of tariffs on most countries around the world, including Japan, Vietnam, and China, which all play pivotal roles in the manufacturing process of the upcoming console.
Now, the Platform will be made available for pre-order on April 24th for the US market. Nintendo additionally noted that the console will see no additional spikes in price, remaining $449 for the console itself, and $499 for the console bundled with a digital edition of Mario Kart World.
Despite these prices remaining the same, Nintendo has stated that some accessories will experience price adjustments. In their official statement, they said:
Accessories will experience price adjustments from those announced on April 2 due to changes in market conditions. Other adjustments to the price of any Nintendo product are also possible in the future depending on market conditions.
On their official website, Nintendo listed everything releasing, with many of those having changed prices reflected:

Other products that have seen price increases include the charging grip, the strap, the wheel, the camera, and the dock. In total, most of these items have seen a price increase between five and ten dollars.
Prior to this, Nintendo made clear the platform would not see a delay in release date from June 5th for the US or other regions, despite their delay in opening pre-orders. In addition to this delay, reports have stated that much of Nintendo’s supply of the console that has been manufactured in Vietnam has been earmarked for the US, hoping to have it in the country before the current 90 freeze of tariffs, put into effect by President Trump, comes to an end.
