Only a few months away, Capcom has moved its hype cycle to focus fully on its next major release, Resident Evil Requiem, which is set to release on February 27, 2026. As such, the game has received a number of announcements concerning it, including several specifically targeted at the Nintendo Switch 2, which is set to receive the last three numbered titles on the same day next year, after all these titles had previously skipped the Nintendo Switch Platform.
On this front, Resident Evil Requiem will be the first game on the Nintendo Switch 2 to receive a themed Pro controller, set to release alongside the game. It features a newspaper image in the center of it, while the controller itself is all black in tone. In addition, a physical triple pack of Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Gold Edition, Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, and Resident Evil Requiem, all housed in a special slip cover, will also be available. It will be available for $89.99 with all three physical games for the series being on Game-Key cards.

In addition to all this, Requiem protagonist Grace Ashcroft will be the first character from Resident Evil to get an Amiibo, which is scheduled to release in the Summer of 2026. Speculation has persisted since the game was announced that popular Resident Evil character Leon S. Kennedy will be featured as a playable protagonist in the game as well. Given that it seems that, if this is true, Capcom wants to keep this a surprise, it is possible Leon also will receive an Amiibo in the summer or later as well, with an announcement not coming till after the game’s release.
In addition, it was announced that preorders are live across all platforms, with there being two versions of the game outlined. All preorders include the Apocalypse costume for protagonist Grace, which harkens back to the film based on the series, Resident Evil Apocalypse, in which Milla Jovovich starred as Alice. The base game will cost $69.99.
The deluxe edition of the game will feature more digital content for the game, and a steelbook case, should you preorder it physically. Included in this are four weapon skins, 2 charms, an audio pack, the Letters from 1998 files, and 5 additional costumes, including one based on Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village. The digital version of the deluxe edition will cost $79.99, while the physical will cost $89.99 and features a Lenticular Card alongside the steelbook.

Resident Evil Requiem will be available on February 27, 2026, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
