    GSC Game World has announced that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Legends of the Zone Trilogy will be receiving an enhanced edition that will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. Releasing on May 20th, the trilogy includes upgraded versions of Shadow of Chernobyl (2007), Clear Sky (2008), and Call of Prypiat (2009). All of these titles will include upgraded visuals, optimization for current hardware, as well as mod support.

    GSC Game World has also stated that players who already own the trilogy, released on PlayStation 4 or Xbox, will receive this upgrade for the corresponding games for free. PC players should own the original versions of the games will receive the Enhanced Edition for free. Additionally, should PC players be buying the trilogy with the Enhanced Edition for the first time, they will receive copies of the original games as well. The Trilogy is available as a bundle for $39.99 or individually for $19.99.

    S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Legends of the Zone Trilogy – Enhanced Edition will not feature cross-save or cross-progression, however, it will include multiple framerate options. These include standard options of 30 FPS and 60 FPS across the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. It will also include modes targeting 40 FPS and up to 120 FPS, though these are specific for players using a display with Variable Refresh Rate technology.

    Graphical and performance modes will also be included with Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro modes including a Quality mode running at native 4K/30 FPS, Balanced mode that upscales 4K/40 FPS, Performance that upscaled 4K/60 FPS, and a Ultra Performance mode upscaled 2K/120 FPS. The Xbox Series S features a Quality mode of native 2K/30 FPS, Balanced with upscaled 2K/40 FPS, and Performance at 1080p/60 FPS. Both Quality Balanced mode and Ultra Performance mode require a display with VRR.

    For PlayStation fans interested in playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Legends of the Zone Trilogy, it will be included in the PlayStation Plus library starting next week.
