Splatoon Raiders is out now for Nintendo Switch 2. While it is primarily single-player, there is a sizable multiplayer component to it. Here is how to access it.
Splatoon Raiders just launched to great reviews and fanfare from critics and Octolings alike. Playing as a mechanic stranded on an island, this single-player adventure has players exploring an archipelago full of loot. Accompanied by fan-favorites Frye, Shiver, and Big Man, they are on the search for more treasure than ever. Although the 12-hour narrative focuses on their journey across these salmonid-infested islands, there is a big focus on multiplayer. So how can players access it?
Like most games, Splatoon Raiders starts showing you the ropes. First, you need to finish the fourth main mission titled “Scayl Buried Ruins.” Once that is out of the way, a radio comms system will appear. Right next to Big Man in the center of the hub world, no less. From there, you can choose to play online with your Switch friends or find a host with a specific keyword. For the more couch co-op inclined squids, it is possible to change it to local play. Basically, you can play with other Switch 2 owners in the same room as you.

If for whatever reason you do not have anyone to play with, do not fret. There is a third option available. After unlocking the previously said mission, there is another way to play with others. From the fifth mission onwards, you can press the Minus button and Call For Help. This allows for random players online willing to help you out on your journey to be summoned for a raid. The only issue is that there is a cooldown period in between raids to ask for more help. However, this comes in handy for the post-game content that might be a bit overwhelming to do alone.
