Six years after the original announcement of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was announced, the title has finally received an official release date, alongside a new trailer, as part of Opening Night Live at Gamescom, the Geoff Keighly-hosted event. The game is now set to release on October 21, 2025, roughly 2 months from now, and it will release at $59.99. In addition, Preorders for the gamer are live now, with the Bloodlines Nostalgia Jukebox being a bonus decor item for players who do.
The trailer for the game showcases the game’s dual protagonists with players taking the role of an Elder vampire in a modern Seattle setting which is what the initial game reveal had promised, with players also taking the role of a Malkarian Detective detective named Fabian in a 1920s version of the same city. The trailer continued new developer The Chinese Room’s trend of focusing heavily on the more action packed m,oments of the game like combat or faced paced exploration, rather than the RPG elements that might be more familiar to VTM fans.
In addition to the standard edition of the game, a deluxe edition will be available for $69.99 and will feature the Santa Monica Memories cosmetic pack. A Premium edition will feature all of that content along with Shadows & Silk, which will add two additional clan types to the player custimizations. The premium edition will be $89.99, with the Silk & Song pack available seperatly as well for $21.99.
Developer the Chinese room took over developement of Vampire The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 in 2021 after original developer Hardsuitlabs was removed from the project. Originally Planned for 2020, the game has undergone a series of delays and setbacks since then. The Chinese room has seen some success in the interm with their horror title Still Wakes The Deep, released last year. Bloodlines 2 will release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
