Microsoft has announced an Xbox Partner Preview in the year, announcing that the event will be on March 6th. According to the official press release the event will feature 12 new trailers from Xbox partners including companies like Capcom, Nexon, EA, as well as others over around 30 minutes.
Games that have been specifically mentioned to be part of the showcase are the upcoming 2D platforming game Kenzera: Zau from EA, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess from Capcom, and The First Berserker: Khazan from Nexon. Anything else will remain a mystery until the showcase is officially aired.
Microsoft stated:
Our Xbox Partner Preview format is all about sharing exciting games news from our talented studios from across the globe with no frills: just new game reveals, release date announcements, and fresh new gameplay from upcoming games.
There is a possibility of games we already know about being talked about, such as Capcoms upcoming Dragon’s Dogma 2 which could easily get a mention, possibly being part of Xbox’s Game Pass’s Strategy which would be a big get for the platform. Similarly, rumors have speculated EA’s Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is slated for 2024 and while big info is rumored for this summer, it could get a mention here. All of this is speculation, however, though it would be funny if these plus IO Interactives Project Dragon show up here making the event very dragon-filled.
The event will begin on Wednesday, March 6th at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT. It will be streamed across YouTube and Twitch with over 40 language options. There will also be options available in American Sign Language, British Sign Language, and English audio descriptions. This accessibility option has been one of Microsoft’s strengths in recent years and I am all for it.
This being a partner showcase, there is little expectation of major first-party announcements, and previously in the year, Microsoft made clear their recently acquired Activision Blizzard King studios will get their event sometime this year. That being said, with Microsoft’s focus on Game Pass, I would expect multiple titles to get the announcement of day one on Game Pass during this showcase.
