Zenless Zone Zero, the latest gacha game from the developers behind Genshin impact, miHoYo, has been announced to be coming to the Xbox Series platform. It was originally released on PlayStation, PC, and Mobile in July of last year, marking another popular Live-Service title to be making the jump.
An official announcement via miHoYo states:
Zenless Zone Zero will officially launch on Xbox alongside its Version 2.0 update this June. In addition to Xbox Series X|S, Zenless Zone Zero will also be available via Xbox Cloud Gaming, enabling Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members to play the game seamlessly across devices without downloads. With tailored optimizations made for the Xbox version of Zenless Zone Zero, players will receive a refined gaming experience. Players can add Zenless Zone Zero to their Wishlist on Xbox now.
In Zenless Zone Zero, players take on the role of their choice of a male or female Proxie. These characters can explore the settings in which they can drink coffee or play arcade games; traversing the hollows is done by a party of three characters made up of supporting characters unlocked through either progressing the story or unlocking them through the game’s gacha mechanic that gives you a chance to unlock a character or upgrades for already unlocked ones.
Combat is down through blistering fast confrontations with enemies where the game rewards fluid transitions between the party members you take into the Hollows, as well as mixing in skills to facilitate quick switch maneuvers. Every few weeks, the game switches seasons, which often adds new missions and narratives, as well as new characters that can only be unlocked, Burnice, for instance, being popular in reels shortly after her addition.
Zenless Zone Zero is set to release on Xbox Series in June, only a month short of the year mark for when it released on other platforms. This is the second title from miHoYo to make the jump to Xbox, with Genshin Impact finally having released on the platform in November after years of requests. Honkai Star Rail, the studio’s turn-based gacha game, has yet to release on Xbox despite releasing a year prior, but at this rate, it seems only a matter of time.
