Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 are coming to Nintendo Switch on October 2nd, 2025. Nintendo announced their arrival on September 12th, 2025, during Nintendo Direct. Celebrating Mario’s 40th anniversary, they decided to release quite a few games and merchandise. With the biggest reveal being The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, it only makes sense to bring the Galaxy games to the Switch.
A bundle for the two games is available for pre-order at $69.99. The individual games are available for pre-order at $39.99 each.
The Switch versions will also feature enhanced visuals. The resolution for the Nintendo Switch will be 1080p, and the resolution for the Nintendo Switch 2 will be 4k. Other added features include an improved UI, additional storybook chapters, a soundtrack mode, an assist mode that provides additional health and fall recovery for those who choose, and support for amiibo figures for in-game items.
After its long absence from the Nintendo eShop, Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 are finally here! With tons of new content and enhancements, we will be able to relive the adventure anew! Recently regaining popularity among social media and the gaming community, the games and film are sure to be a hit!
