Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, remakes of the original titles in the Pokémon series, have been announced to be released for the Nintendo Switch in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the franchise. Sony will be closing Bluepoint Games, a first-party developer best known for high-quality remakes such as Shadow of the Colossus and Demon’s Souls, the latter being a PlayStation 5 launch title. Despite having developed several PlayStation -exclusive remakes, the studio was not officially acquired until 2021, following the success of their Demon’s Souls remake.
