The interactive horror game that kicked off Supermassive’s success in the genre, Until Dawn, will reportedly be getting a rerelease for PlayStation 5 and PC. Before this, the game was only available on PlayStation 4, marking the first of a reported many PlayStation exclusive games that Sony is planning to bring to PC this year. The announcement is expected to be made officially in two weeks. This information is according to leaker billbil-kun who, in writing for Dealabs, says that the PlayStation 5 and PC version of the game will be a “Brand new version” of Until Dawn that has been…
While Nier Reincarnation, the mobile game based on the popular Nier series, will shut down in April, Square Enix announced. The game’s final arc, entitled Finale: Reincarnation, will release on March 28. The game’s servers will then shut down down around a moth later, on April 29th. In an official press statement, Square Enix stated: We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our players for your patronage over the 2.5 years since we launched on July 28, 2021. The publisher then went on to say they planned to continue adding characters and holding events until the end date…
It is always a nerve-wracking experience to review a game you can sink hundreds of hours into. When you get a review code, you barely have enough time to play the experience, and you need to measure what components out of hundreds will matter. Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the epitome of that experience. In over 100 hours, I have beat up crooks, helped revive a resort, been a stunt actor, made plenty of friends, chased a mystery, been a delivery driver, become a human traf– I mean Sujimon trainer, and that isn’t even scratching the surface. Even now…
From launch, Cyberpunk 2077 had a very rocky road to the redemption story it achieved in 2023 with the release of the Phantom Liberty expansion. At this point though, all eyes are on CD Projekt Red as they prepare for the several games that they have in development, including a Cyberpunk sequel, as well as several Witcher projects. As such, the head of CD Projekt Red has expressed the potential of this future project having multiplayer in it. The sequel, Codename Orion as it is known right now, is currently in the conception phase. In a conversation with Reuters, it…
Pokemon with guns, and organ harvesting, the game Palworld had a massive weekend, selling 5 million copies in just 3 days This led the title to shoot up Steam’s most played list as everybody crafts, survives, and shoots up their Palword rivals. The title was released on January 19th in early access across PC and Xbox, as well as being a day one Game Pass title. This surge in players caused it to overtake CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 to become the fifth-highest concurrent player count on Steam to date with 1,291,967 players. Palworld is also the most played game…
Another Code, or Trace Memory as it was known in the West, was a game I sadly missed when it was first released for the DS. It’s a bummer looking back at it since the title shares many elements with my favorite DS title 999: 9 Persons, 9 Hours, 9 Doors. That being said, even at a glance the room escape aspects never reach that height. But if one was inclined to look back at the two titles on DS and Wii you will find that this is a pretty loving recreation of a more obscure puzzle-solving game and even…
Microsoft capped off their first Xbox Developer Direct with the first trailer, and gameplay deep dive, for the upcoming Indian Jones game being developed by Machinegames. The game’s official name is Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, confirming rumors from last week suggesting that title for the game. While the developer directs are often used to showcase already-announced games in greater detail, this was the first showing that Indiana Jones has received. As such, the showcase began with a trailer for the game, shown below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htGnW6YNPjs The trailer showcases many aspects of the game, which will be set between the…
Larian Studios’ mega RPG Baldur’s Gate III is finally available on every platform now that the title Stealth was released during The Video Game Awards in December. This is great news for all games as the title dominated the conversation of games in the latter half of 2023, as well as bagging a large number of game of the year awards. 2023 was a great year overall, with Baldur’s Gate III leading the way, but another conversation about subscription services like PlayStation Plus Extra and Xbox Game Pass has been playing out on both fronts. During the FTC V. Microsoft…
13 years after the popular tennis series Top Spin offered up its last serve, Publisher Take-Two has announced that the series will be returning with a new game, entitled Top Spin 2k25. Although no official release date was given, it is intended to be released at some point in 2024. This announcement came through a teaser trailer for the title that simply offers that states the game is ‘coming soon’. That being said, as a Tennis fan, just the claim of the game is enough to get me excited. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RGxSiweoJA The game is being developed by Hanger 13, best known…
In 2023, Remedy unveiled their new trademark, a large letter R that has a rippling effect to it which they stated reflected a “New and Refined look,” for the studio. This has not sat well with Take-Two, owner of the extremely popular Rockstar Games, who are disputing this new logo over similarities to the logo of the Grand Theft Auto developer. This filing was made in the UK and EU, because of the “likelihood of confusion,” said the publisher. Remedy had filed with EU’s Intellectual Property office on April 13, 2023, which was one day before their public announcement. They…
