NTE offers many possibilities to explore its urban landscape at your leisure, but getting in trouble with the law could result in ending up incarcerated. Here is how to serve your jail time, or not.
NTE: Neverness to Everness is a sprawling open-world game with a frankly baffling amount of options. From going on dates with your favorite characters to racing sports cars on dazzling tracks, there is no shortage of fun activities for players to engage in. One of the sillier ones that earned NTE its nickname of the “anime GTA” is being chased by the police. By attacking NPCs, police, or random cars, or by stealing them, you will slowly raise your wanted level. One way to get the heat off is by escaping, but if you get caught, guess where you’ll end up?
Just like the city of Hethereau is a fictional version of San Francisco, so does the Hethereau Detention Center look like the now defunct Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary. This island, where you are shipped off to for your crimes, hosts various ways to spend your time if you cannot simply pay to leave. Other than paying the required 30,000 Fons, serving your sentence includes cleaning the dishes and playing a Powerwash Simulator-type game to keep the penitentiary squeaky clean. A third, more blood-pumping, elaborate option can be pursued as well… prison break.
Escaping from prison is the hardest option of them all, as it requires taking several steps over the course of the week you find yourself in your new confined residence. It is also the most rewarding, as it saves both money and hard-earned cash. Opening a hole in the wall of the cell that is covered with posters is one option. Using stolen spoons from the kitchen, taking each brick from said wall will lead to tunnels that, as long as you avoid spotlights, you should reach sweet freedom in no time.
There are several other alternatives to escape, such as stealing a Concentrated Disinfectant from the infirmary to slither through the sewers, but that is what NTE is best known for. A mind-boggling variety of choices, all designed to keep players busy every single time they boot up the game.
