During the Opening Night Live event of Gamecom 2023, hosted by Geoff Keighley Namco Bandai released the first trailer for the third game in the Little Nightmares series, Little Nightmares III.
The trailer showcases that this next title will take place in a desert and will have multiple brightly lit set pieces, both of which are far cry’s from previous entries in the series. On top of that, two characters take part in this story allowing players to tackle the horrors of this new world alone or with a friend through online co-op.
Despite these departures much of the trailer has the same flavors of the franchise at large and should excite long time fans of the indie horror. These include several sneaking segments, alongside very large people that mean to cause you harm. There should be plenty to like regardless of if you are returning to the series or playing it for the first time.
Alongside the announcement trailer for the game, a six episode podcast entitled The Sound of Nightmares, was announced for the series telling a unique story, with the first two episodes airing tonight. Little Nightmares III will be the first in the series developed by The Quarry and Until Dawn developer Supermassive Games.
