Ubisoft has announced that Tom Clancy’s The Division: Resurgence is headed to PC next month, on August 5th. The title was previously available on the platform through Early Access on Ubisoft Connect, with the game now extending to Steam as well. The Division: Resurgence is a third-person shooter set in the universe of the previous two games, though with a unique story independent of those games. It was originally released on Mobile in March of this year as a free-to-play RPG, which it will remain when it releases fully on pc.
Similar to the original Division title released in 2016, Resurgence returns the action to New York City. The title features a shared dynamic open world in which players take the role of a Division operative facing off against well-armed militias in a run-down world. Players will have the choice between several abilities and gadgets to use, and can explore the world solo or with friends to survive in the hostile world.

The Division: Recurgence is currently in Year 1, following a roadmap that sees new content released for the game every six weeks. The PC port of the title was announced as part of the roadmap back in April, but other additions include speedrun challenges, new cosmetic sets such as exotic weapon skins, as well as Classified Op passes. The launch on PC will serve as the official start point for Season 2 of the Year 1 pass, with Season 3 set to release this winter alongside a major story expansion.
There is currently no official word on whether Ubisoft will port Tom Clancy’s The Division: Resurgence to consoles such as PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series.
