Following shortly after a leak of the upcoming line-up additions for the PlayStation Plus catalog in 2026, Sony has confirmed that the leak was, basically, correct, save for two other indie titles also coming to the platform. The leak was posted by the usually reliable leaker Billbil-Kun of Dealab, so there was little doubt that a lot of what was stated would be attributed.
Arguably, the biggest game that will join the catalog is Resident Evil Village, the last mainline title in the series to see release. Its placement here, however, is fortuitous timing given that the next game in the series, the highly anticipated Resident Evil Requiem, is set to release at the end of next month. While Village ends the narrative of Ethan, which began in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Requiem does appear to continue building upon what its predecessor brought to the series, such as the choice between first and third person, making this a great time catch up on the series before February 27.
Right behind this, and with similar placement, is the most recent Like A Dragon title, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth. The latest story in the series, following the new protagonist Ichiban Kasuga and former lead Kazuma Kiryu, as they find themselves in Hawaii as they investigate the whereabouts of Kasuga’s mother. While this title is the most recent, it is a sequel to Yakuza: Like A Dragon, meaning it only really requires some knowledge of the series to jump into it. While not directly related, Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, a remake of the 2010 third entry in the series, is set to release in February and looks to build off of advancements made with Infinite Wealth, making it worth the playthrough in the meantime.
These two are arguably the biggest titles featured in this Catalog addition, but there are a few other games to be excited for. Expeditions: A MudRunner Game was my first MudRunner adjacent title, and I recommend it to everybody if you are looking for a driving-based title outside of the realm of racing. If you are looking for more traditional car driving, the indie title Art of Rally might be for you, or if you have PlayStation Plus Premium, the PS1 original Ridge Racer Game, my favorite racing series, is set to drift its way onto the platform and hopefully into your heart.
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is another horror title based on the film series that is positioned as an alternative to Resident Evil Village if you have already played that, or are just looking for something different. Similarly, The Exit 8, which blends the Tokyo subway underground with creepy pasta like the backrooms, is also added. At about 2 hours to beat, it should be easy to fit into any play schedule. The two games that have since been added are the tidy puzzler A Little To The Left, as well as the roguelike sequel Darkest Dungeon II.

Anything you are looking to play from this PlayStation Plus list? While I am excited to replay Ridge Racer (4, the best game in the series is already on the platform, as well as the amazing Vita title Ridge Racer 2), Darkest Dungeon II always goes on sale at a point I missed buying it for some reason, so I will definitely finally be playing that. How about you?
