ZA/UM Studio has announced that ZERO PARADES: Director’s Cut will be launching on October 1, 2026, for PC as a free update for all existing owners of ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies. Following this, the Director’s Cut will transition the game to consoles, with the PlayStation 5 version of the game now set to launch on November 3, 2026.

The Director’s Cut is meant to mark the culmination of the title’s post-launch development on PC, adding a substancial amount of new material to the game, as well as completing a longer process of updates, revisions, and improvements that have been made to ZERO PARADES since the original release on May 21. New additions to the game will include 40,000 words of new material, completed English voice-over, and a new dramatic encounter.

Key Features of the Director’s Cut update include:

    • A new Dramatic Encounter – the Quisach Roundabout: Hershel and Ramses attempt the deceptively difficult task of leaving a roundabout while extremely high. Miss the exit and a simple drive can descend into progressively stranger territory, with failure taking players deeper into the encounter rather than simply ending it.
    • Approximately 40,000 words of new material: New writing creates more opportunities to deepen relationships with allies and handlers, find alternative ways through difficult situations, and explore Hershel’s own embattled psyche.
    • Backstage Mode: Walk through earlier iterations of selected levels and see how ZERO PARADES’ environments evolved, with technical breakdowns, creative inspirations, cut content, and development stories drawn from across the team and narrated by the game’s Art Director.
    • Completed and revised English voice-over: Including a newly recorded opening alongside extensive audio revisions and fixes throughout the game.
    • More of Portofiro: New clothing, Reverie portraits, pedestrian variations, death screens, and further visual and atmospheric additions.
    • Quality-of-life improvements: Including new inventory sorting alongside the broader refinements introduced since launch.

Upon release, Pixel Byte gave ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies an 8.5/10. You can find our review here to see why we recommend it.
