Once again, it is time for the game industry to come to together and celebrate its future by unveiling a ton of new games and announcements at the Summer Games Fest. We have A LOT to get through, so without further delay, let’s jump into it:

    Resident Evil Veronica

Clair Redfield returns in the long-awaited remake of the 2000 Dreamcast title, now known as Resident Evil: Veronica. The trailer didn’t give us much to work with, but it showcases Clair searching for her brother in a creepy Paris apartment, right before getting grabbed and held at knifepoint. We get some brief looks at the game beyond, like an aerial shot of Rockfort Island and some zombies, but much of what players can expect remains to be seen.

Resident Evil: Veronica will shamble its way onto Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in 2027.

Studio MDHR announced two Cuphead games

Studi MDHR made an appearance at the Summer Games Fest to announce not one but two games. The first of these we did not get to see, but it was stated to be a brand-new, fully hand-animated Cuphead game, pretty much in the vein of the first one. Whether this is an official sequel to Cuphead, or something else, though, is yet to be seen, with no window in sight.

The second announcement, Mighty Cuphead Adventure, we did get to see. Whereas the first game was inspired by and paid homage to the rubber hose animation of the 40s and 50s, Mighty Cuphead Adventure is inspired by 90’s arcade titles, complete with 8-bit action for you and your friends.

Mighty Cuphead Adventure was announced for Consoles and PC, only said to be coming sometime in the future.

    Alien Isolation 2

We had already received the news that Alien Isolation was getting an official sequel, and finally, we have gotten a brief glimpse into Alien Isolation 2. We got a lot of scenery of Earth, or something similar, before also getting to see the traditional insides of a spaceship from the franchise. Whether players will be stalked across both locals is not something we learn; the alien itself doesn’t even pop up till the end of the trailer. The more important question, given the first titles ever challenging AI-controlled Alien, stalking you through the halls and listening through your mic, it should be interesting to see what improvements were made to this system.

Alien Isolation 2 will stalk and track you on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, though when it will do so is not known yet.

    gen ATLAS

We first got a look at Shadow of the Colossus creator Fumito Ueda’s next game a few years ago, then known as Project Robots. Now, we have a new look at the game and a new name, with the official title being gen ATLAS. This is everything we have come to expect of Ueda, with the player controlling giant mech’s across a forlorn and desolate open world. The player will use mechs to solve puzzles or fight the many enemies that threaten them along the way.

gen ATLAS will boot up on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via the Epic Game Store at some point in the future.

    Blood Message

Blood Message is a single-player action RPG that we knew was getting a much deeper look during the Summer Games Fest. Developed by Chinese Developer 24 Entertainment, the game places you in the shoes of a messenger in ancient China, as a war begins around him. Travelling with his son, he has to fight for his survival against insurmountable odds.

There is no information on which platforms Blood Message is coming to or when we can expect to play it.

    Stranger Than Heaven

We already got a big showcase for Stranger than Heaven back in May, in which we learned Snoop Dogg would be playing a role in the game. That is why its appearance at SGF was so odd. The trailer it showcased was an old school, grindhouse style credits reel of actors appearing, ending on the reveal that Snoop Dogg wasn’t enough of a rapper for the game, and that deceased rapper Tupac Shakur will also be appearing in the game.

Tupac was famously killed in 1996 in a drive-by shooting amid amplified tensions in the East Coast-West Coast feud, nearly a decade before Like A Dragon would debut. There is no way to know if the rapper himself would be into this, but here we are.

Stranger Than Heaven received a release date of January 15th, 2027, and will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

    Haex

Haex is an upcoming cooperative open-world action game with a twist. That twist? The game is set in a procedurally generated region called The Wild North. Monsters will hunt you as you navigate the world and solve puzzles, but don’t get too complacent, as shifts in topography can occur when you least expect them to.

Haex is set to release on PC in 2027.

    Dead By Daylight Update

Dead by Daylight is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary later this year, so why not ruin the idea of birthday parties for everybody watching with a terrifyingly creepy rendition of ” Happy Birthday.” Well, that and the fact that the party featured in the trailer didn’t look like it would be enjoyable to attend.

That said, if you are a fan of Dead By Daylight, the tenth anniversary is probably a must-attend event. It begins on June 14th, 2026, at 8 PM EST.

    Mortal Shell II Beta

Mortal Shell II, the medieval fantasy with some Souls-like elements, received another trailer during SGF. The big thing here is that the title received an open beta that went live following the game’s showcase at the event. The open beta is available on Steam, and you can download it now.

    Sand: Radiers of Sophie

One of the weirder games showcased during the event, Sand: Raiders of Sophie, gives players the ability to build hulking mech houses that wander the desert. Similar to games like Sea of Thieves, players will come across other raiders in the desert on similarly built mechanized monstrosities, then do battle with each other for loot or just bragging rights. The title blends Weird West and Steampunk elements.

Sand: Raiders of Sophie will lumber its way onto PC on June 10th, 2026, with a server slam now live in anticipation of the release.

    Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced

We got a deep dive of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced earlier this year, but another trailer for the upcoming game doesn’t hurt. Players will take the role of Edward Kenway once again in this remake that has been rebuilt from the ground up with several new features being added as well.

Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced will sail onto consoles on July 9th, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

    TMNT: The Last Ronin

TMNT: The Last Ronin was announced some time ago to be getting a video game, but a lot has changed since. The film version of the critically praised and darker take on the turtles was canceled, leaving the game in a somewhat limbo, given that we had not seen it since the initial announcement. Originally being developed by Destroy All Humans developer Black Forest Games, development has not restarted at PlatinumGames, known for stylish action games like Bayonetta.

Again, we got a bit of a teaser with TMNT: The Last Ronin appearing to be some ways away, but it will slash its way onto Consoles and PC at some point.

    Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3

Fortnite has maintained a constant presence at the Summer Games Fest, and this year was no different. Players got a look at Chapter 7 Season 3, which is called Runners, and it launched later the same night. In this season, a mechanic known as sprites is introduced, offering different power-ups for players who collect them. In addition, we got a sneak preview of the shattered end-of-season event, and oh yeah, John Wick is back so there is that.

    Gundam: Rogue Orbit

Bandai Namco was also present to show a new and very different take on Gundam with Gundam: Rogue Orbit. For starters, there was a bit of a Pacific Rim vibe to the game, with players piloting the titular mechs to fight kaiju-type monsters. The Gundamns themselves have also gone through a bit of redesign, not having the more boxy feel fans might be familiar with.

Gundam: Rogue Orbit will let players into the cockpit of its giant mechs in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

    An Eggstreamly Hard Game

Breaking up the high-octane announcements was something a bit lower key, but promising to be a challenge. An Eggstreamly Hard Game is a co-op title where both players take the role of birds and have to navigate treacherous terrain and obstacles while attempting to protect an egg that the two must carry in a nest between them, using their beaks. The game promises to be both fun and hard.

An eggstreamly Hard Game will be butting all its eggs in a basket on July 24th, 2026, for PC.

    Crossfire

Crossfire is a new tactical third-person shooter from developers who had previously worked at Naughty Dog and Infinity Ward. It is part of the Crossfire franchise from Smilegate, but promises to take a strong narrative approach to the experience. The game follows two rival operatives, forced to team up and work together. Also boasted is an adaptive cover mechanic designed for the player’s character to adjust their body to take the best advantage of cover as they move.

Crossfire will sneak its way on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC at some point in the future.

    Control Resonant

Despite appearing during the Sony State of Play last week, Control Resonant gave us yet another look at its twisted version of Manhattan and the main character, Dylan, fighting the enemy threat both with melee and ranged weapons. A lot is going on here, as there always is with anything involving the FBC and The Oldest House.

Control Resonant takes the fight to Manhattan on September 24th, 2026, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

    Guild Wars 3

14 years after the last game in the series was released, Guild Wars 3 has been officially announced. A prequel to the previous entry, set around 1,000 years prior, the trailer, brief as our look at gameplay may have been, suggests a free and open world for players to explore.

Guild Wars 3 will be arriving on PlayStation 5 and PC in the Autumn of 2027, when the beta begins.

    Star Wars Galactic Racer

Star Wars Galactic Racer looks like a fun take on a galaxy far, far away, putting players in the driver’s seat of a podracer, similar to the 1999 game Star Wars Episode 1: Racer. Besides having pretty stellar graphics, this time around the game seems to put a strong emphasis on narrative-driven moments as you build your career and take on rivals.

Star Wars Galactic Racer will speed onto the scene on October 6th, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

    End of Abyss

End of Abyss takes players into the ocean to fight off horror after horror in this isometric third-person shooter. The game features a dark, forbidding atmosphere and plenty of things that seem to want you dead.

End of Abyss will have players sinking under the waves on October 1st, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

    Last Harbor

That last game had us below the waves, but this next game has us sailing along them. Both, however, have you facing off against horrific monsters that want to kill you. The Last Harbor has players building a houseboat of sorts, then sailing from shore to shore, scavaging supplies, and contending with barnacle-covered zombie-like enemies as you try to stay alive.

Last Harbor is set to dock on PC at some point in the future.

    Virtua Fighter VI: Crossroads

We have gotten some early looks at what RGG envisions for their first full foray into developing a Virtua Fighter game (having previously remastered Virtua Fighter V), but we got a much different look at the game during SGF. In fact, we didn’t even see the fighting component; instead appearing to be taking a similar approach to Street Fighter VI. Virtua Fighter VI: Crossroads is set in a big city that can seemingly be explored with some Like A Dragon components thrown in there for good measure.

Virtua Fighters VI: Crossroads is set to punch its way onto consoles and PC in 2027.

    Runescape: Dragonwilds

Another Game we previously saw during the Sony State of Play, RuneScape: Dragonwilds, also received a new trailer during SGF. The game will take players to Ashenfall, where players will take on enemies, level abilities, and explore alone or with a group of friends.

Runescape: Dragonwilds released to early access on PC last year and will now release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on September 15th, 2026. Those who have PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium will have access to the game through that service when it launches.

    Nintendo Switch 2 Sizzle Real

Nintendo gave us a brief sizzle reel of a few upcoming games for the platform. This included The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, set to release later this month across multiple platforms, Orbitals, a split-screen two-player adventure set to release this summer, exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2, and Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditions, a co-op game coming to Consoles and PC on June 11th, 2026.

    Soulframe

Soulframe is the latest game from the developers of Warframe, and has some similar elements, though wrapped in a dark fantasy setting. It will be a free-to-play MMORPG when it is finally released, though we do not have a timeframe on that as of yet.

What we do know is that Soulframe Preludes is the pre-alpha for the game, and players can join in now.

    Grounded 2 Into The Abyss

Released last year on Xbox and PC, Grounded 2 has a new update coming, and it will be called Into the Abyss. Several new creatures will be added to the mix for players to fight against, including a pretty cool glowing lizard. The bigger news made here is that Grounded 2 is coming to PlayStation 5, continuing Xbox’s multiplatform approach at least for now.

Grounded 2 Into The Abyss will release on August 11th, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. This date is also the PlayStation 5 release date.

Mafia: The Old Country – Man of Honor Story Expansion

Mafia: The Old Country was an enjoyable return to the classic Mafia experience set in Sicily prior to the events of any other game. Man of Honor is a story expansion coming to the game, adding two chapters that play out near the midpoint of the story. The expansion will reintroduce players to Don Salieri, who served as the antagonist to the first game, looking into his history before immigrating to America.

Mafia: The Old Country – Man of Honor will release on August 14th, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

    1666 Amsterdam

The creator of Assassin’s Creed, Patrice Désilets, debuted his next game, which has been a long time in the making. 1666 Amsterdam is a game that blends a few concepts, including the use of witchcraft and time travel, with players taking the role of protagonists Noa and Aaron. One of those, Noa, is a witch, in some capacity anyway, while Aaron is a cat.

1666 Amsterdam will be available at some point later this year, in early access on PC. A prologue demo lasting 30 minutes is available on PC via both Steam and the Epic Game Store now.

    SAW: Genesis

The SAW franchise is getting another video game in SAW: Genesis, though the game is set prior to the events of the films. Players will take part in a 3v1 horror experience where those three players need to work together to escape from a facility of deadly traps while one lone player works to hinder them every step of the way.

SAW: Genesis is set to release on PC at some point. There will be a closed alpha available, with registration open now.

    Lords of the Fallen 2

Lords of the Fallen 2, the sequel to the 2023 reboot of the Souls-like franchise, got another look during SGF. This gave us a pretty decent look at the combat, as well as the enemies players will contend with.

Lords of the Fallen 2 will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC sometime in Autumn 2026.

    Star Wars Zero Company

After the announcement was leaked earlier this week, Star Wars Zero Company got a new trailer during the showcase, giving us a much-needed look at the narrative and gameplay. The upcoming Star Wars game is a turn-based tactical game from developer Bit Reactor, made up of former developers who worked on XCOM and Marvel’s Midnight Suns. The title is set during the Clone Wars, and yes, a few characters you might recognize will pop up.

Star Wars Zero Company will arrive on August 27th, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

    The Blood of the Dawnwalker

We got a big deep dive into The Blood of Dawnwalker earlier this year, and another trailer came during the SGF. This kinda creates a little confusion as to what to expect, as the game is set during the 14th century, but this trailer shows our main character, Coen, in modern day, in a life-or-death struggle with another enemy. What this means in the grand scheme of the game is not fully clear, but this was stated to be what the game is building towards.

The Blood of Dawnwalker will release on September 3rd, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

Among Us Story: On Guard and TV Series

Among Us, the breakout success of the COVID-19 pandemic, has seen a massive expansion of content over the years. The franchise took to the stage at SGF to highlight not one but two projects. The first of these was a new game set in the universe of Among Us, called Among Us Story: On Guard. This is a narrative adventure in which you take the role of a guard who needs to solve a murder. This is a typical premise, but a change to the format.

Afterwards, they highlighted the Among Us TV series that is now streaming on Paramount+. Among Us Story: On Guard is set to release on PC.

    007 First Light Story Expansion

One of my complaints with 007: First Light is how actively they hyped the appearance of Lenny Kravitz in the game, only for him to appear in around 20 minutes of the total experience. Well, it looks like we are getting additional story missions that will give him more screen time. This new mission will see Bond return Aleph to aid Bawma.

This content will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, though there is no date as of yet.

Another Nintendo Switch 2 Sizzle Real

Here we got another Sizzle reel for upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch 2, starting with MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, which is finally coming to the system in early access in August of 2026. After this, the coop multiplayer title Turok: Origins, which will have you slaying dinosaurs in the fall of 2026. The final one was Armatus, an action game coming out in the winter of this year.

    Aion 2

Aion 2 showcased some gameplay and adventure for players to experience for players when the game releases in September of this year on PC.

    Gothic Remake

In development for a while, Gothic Remake finally released the same day as the SGF, so of course, it got a launch trailer to commemorate the event. The trailer showcases gameplay and narrative for players looking to experience the 2001 RPG again or for the first time.

Gothic Remake is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

Wuthering Waves x Cyberpunk Edgerunners Collaboration

Wuthering Waves is still going strong since its release with a ton of new content and collaborations. One such of those collaberations is coming on June 8th, 2026, and it is with anime Cyberpunk Edgerunners, with both Luvy and Rebecca set to appear.

    Monster Hunters Wilds Ascendance

Monster Hunter Wilds, the latest release in the long-running franchise, will be getting a story expansion DLC next year. Entitled Monster Hunter Wilds Acendance, it will take players into the sky to a series of floating islands with a range of new monsters to contend with.

Monster Hunter Wilds Acendence will take flight in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

    Swords of Legends

Sword of Legends is another fantasy-style RPG from China, drawing heavily on Chinese mythology. The trailer itself gave us a good look at a boss fight, but not much else to go by, other than fast-paced action.

Sword of Legends has no release date as of yet, but it will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

    Hotwheels Infinite Rush

The last few Hot Wheels games have been pretty enjoyable, so an open-world Hot Wheels game sounds like a great extension, if it plays as well as the Unleashed series. Hot Wheels Infinite Rush will have players racing around an open city, blended with tracks and hazards that the Hot Wheels franchise is known for.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush will arrive September 24th, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

Sonic Racing Crossworlds Year Two Content And Sonic Pico Park

We got some new information on Sonic Racing Crossworlds, which was released last year to positive reviews. We learned that a collab with TMNT: Mutant Mayhem is planned for July 2026. Following this, there will be an Avatar collab in October 2026. The game will also see a collaboration with both Godzilla and Evangelion.

We also have a Sonic Pico Park coming soon, though we have no date yet.

    Attack on Titan 3

Omega Force is returning to what they are best known for, following their massive success with Pokémon Pokopia. Attack on Titan 3 is a continuation of their Musou series based on the anime. What this game will do, however, is chronicle the complete anime in one game.

Attack on Titan 3 will come out on July 1st, 2026, and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

    Clutch

If you’re looking for a racing game that seems to feature a strong emphasis on Narrative, Clutch could speed its way into your heart. Set in and around Monaco, you play as a professional driver drawn into the world of underground street racing, with a dash of crime sprinkled in for good measure.

Clutch will have you out running cops and the competition in Spring 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

    Chronicles Medieval

Chronicles Medieval is a sandbox game that has players building themselves up a medieval army, then fighting against other armies with a lot of technical precision. The game will also feature realistic strategies for controlling your army, giving you a sense of control as you wage war.

Chronicles Medieval will enter early access on PC sometime later this year.

    Sea of Remnants

Sea of Remnant announced its presence during the Summer Games Fest with a musical trailer that didn’t give much information if you are unfamiliar with the game. The title is an upcoming free-to-play RPG that features turn-based combat. Pre-registration is open now.

Sea of Remnants will be available for PlayStation 5, PC, IOS, and Android.

Hitman: World of Assassination adds Wiz Khalifa as a new target

Hitman: World of Assassination is getting a new target for the legendary Agent 46 to go after, and it is Wiz Khalifa. The new mission involves attending a boxing match, blending in so you can get in the ring and take your target out. Or, do it one of the many other ways you can, its up to you.

The mission will be live July 5th, 2026, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, and PlayStation VR.

    Palworld 1.0

Next up, we got a look at the popular monster-catching and survival crafting game Plaworld, which is set to receive its 1.0 update. Along with this, we got our first look at a few of the monsters players will be able to collect once the update drops.

The Palworld 1.0 update will release on July 10th, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

The Wolf Among Us 2 and The Wolf Among Us Remastered

After the absence, the long-awaited return of Bigby Wolf finally got a new showing when a trailer for The Wolf Among Us 2 was dropped, giving at least a big more of a glimpse into his next mystery to solve. In addition, we got another reveal, this one of The Wolf Among Us Remastered, which will release this year, before the 2027 release of 2, to give players a chance to get caught up.

    Stellar Blade: Blood Rain

We knew Shift Up had plans to develop a sequel to Stellar Blade, though getting a trailer this early on might not have been expected. The action of Stellar Blade Blood Rain shifts to a cyberpunk-style city and a new character by the name of Evie, who fights with her fists. The emphasis is still on fast-paced action.

Stellar Blade Blood Rain is still early in development, so there is no news on when we might expect to play it at this time.

    Street Fighter VI Year 4

Street Fighter VI took to the stage to hype up their next year of additional characters, including Yasmine, Bosch, and Arjun. The show stealer, though? Tifa Lockheart from Final Fantasy VII was announced to be rounding out this year of characters. All those enemies she has punched throughout Midgar and Gaia are most likely helping prepare her for this.

    Final Fantasy VII Revelation

Square Enix wasn’t done, though. Rounding out the Summer Games Fest announcements was the official unveiling of Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the third and final act of the Final Fantasy VII trilogy that first began in 2020. We got our first look at the highwind, which players will fly around the map, as well as a first look at the two remaining party members set to join for the final and climactic battle with Sepheroth.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation will release in Spring of 2027, and for the first time in a long time, it will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC simultaneously.

And there it is, everything announced during the Summer Games Fest. Hope you enjoyed the event, and please let us know what you were excited for in the comments!
