Publisher Koei Tecmo has announced that the digital preorders for the upcoming compilation release of Blue Reflection Quartet will go live starting today. The title, consisting of three games developed by the team behind the Atelier franchise, Gust, will be available on July 30th, 2026, for the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Alongside this announcement, a brand new trailer for the compilation was also released, as well as a new illustration from character designer and General Supervisor on Blue Reflection, Mel Kishida.
For those unfamiliar with the Blue Reflection series, the main story revolves around Shirai Hinako, a transfer student struggling emotionally following a knee injury that forced her to withdraw from an international ballet competition. As she adjusts to her life at this new school and makes new friends, she is drawn into a battle against monsters from another realm known as Sephirot. To defeat these enemies, classmates adopt magical girl personas, traveling between the real world and an alternate one born from human emotions. Blue Reflection has drawn some comparisons to Atlus’ Persona series due to the blended focus on school life, as well as fantasy RPG elements.
Blue Reflection Quartet will, as the name suggests, offer four games when it releases. These include the two main titles, Blue Reflection and Blue Reflection: Second Light, in which the player follows Hinako’s full story. In addition, the previously mobile title Blue Reflection: Sun will be included, and follows the narrative of a new protagonist simply called Leader, the first male character to actually appear in the series. Blue Reflection: Ray, a story scenario summarizing the 24-episode anime (which in turn was based on the first game), will also be included in this collection.
Players who pre-order the compilation will receive four in-game frames that can be utilized in the photo mode featured in Second Light. All versions of the titles will also feature improvements to their Quartet counterparts, with the compilation also including a Reference database to allow for a deeper understanding of the world.
