The next in-game event for the cozy sim Pokémon spin-off Pokémon Pokopia has been announced and will focus on the Dark/Ghost type Sableye. Beginning on April 29 at 5 AM local time and running until May 14 at the same time, Sableye’s Gem Hunt will see players gathering dark-type precious resources that can then be exchanged with the titular pocket monsters for event-exclusive rewards.
The event will function similarly to that of the previous, which was known as More Spores for Hoppip, so if you participated in that, you are ahead of the curve. Sableye can be encountered outside a rebuilt Pokémon Center, before being sent off to gather Red Crystal Fragments in the Dream Islands with the help of Drifloon. The first Pokémon Center can be completed early in the narrative, but it requires a lot of materials and several hours of real time to finish, while Drifloon has a mission to recruit. Complete both if you haven’t yet, and you will be well on your way when the event starts.
Pokémon Pokopia players have been aware that a Sableye event was coming for some time, that’s to the ability to change in-game time by adjusting the console time to see upcoming content. Similarly, the Hoppip event is available through the same means if you haven’t played and want to catch up. Currently, the game is hosting the Bulbasaur Jump Rope Event, which is set to wrap up on April 27. If you want to participate in that event, head in-game now, and you could win an exclusive new trophy item!
Recently, Pokémon Pokopia has also released a new update, giving players an upgraded ability to relocate completed Pokémon centers, along with a large swatch of bug fixes as well.
