THQ Nordic announced new DLC as the THQ Nordic Showcase closed for Reanimal, the latest horror game from Little Nightmares creator Tarsier Games. Released in February of this year, the title plays similarly to the studio’s previous franchise, allowing two players to embody small characters as they contend with big horror moments. Reanimal: The Prisoner will follow the same formula, offering more frightening moments and a story for players who have already completed the main game, or for fans who haven’t had a chance yet to play.
The Prisoner is the first of a three-chapter expanded narrative that will follow two new characters, known as the Prisoner and the soldier. The narrative will play in parallel to that of the main game, offering more context for the title’s war-torn world, with the setting and action beats appearing to draw heavily from events in history like World War I and II, though with a dark horror twist and some other elements as well. One enemy showcased in particular appears to chase and torment the two characters with a flamethrower, making for some tense encounters.
This first DLC for Reanimal will cost $9.99, and it will require the base game to be played. It is also available through the game’s season pass, which is $24.99. The best news about this DLC, though, is that it is available to purchase, download, and play now, so it is a good time to grab your best horror buddy and dive back into this bleak world. It is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Chapter 2 of Reanimals, “The Expanded World,” is currently slated for October 13, 2026, while Chapter 3 is currently planned for February 9, 2027.
